What we are

Sam Barret Dispatch LLC provides managed dispatch and back office services to motor carriers. Sam Barret Transportation Group LLC is the parent company. Both are Texas limited liability companies.

What we are not

We are not a freight broker and we hold no brokerage authority. We do not solicit shippers, we do not hold freight under our own authority, we do not receive freight proceeds belonging to another carrier, and we do not allocate freight across client carriers.

We are not a law firm, an accounting firm, an insurance agency, or a registered agent for regulatory representation.

Nothing on this site is legal, tax, insurance, accounting, or regulatory advice. Regulations change and applicability depends on your specific operation, equipment, and jurisdictions. Confirm anything that matters with your own advisors before you rely on it.

Not affiliated

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, the Department of Transportation, the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, the Texas Comptroller, the Internal Revenue Service, or any other government agency. Agency names and rule citations appear only to identify the source of a requirement.

Sources and figures

Every figure on this site is linked to the source it came from, and the source is the primary publisher wherever one exists. Regulatory requirements cite the Code of Federal Regulations or the state authority directly.

Figures are stated as they were on the date shown on the page. Diesel prices, spot rates, and permit fees move. Filing deadlines and retention periods change by rulemaking.

Where a figure could not be confirmed from a primary source, the page says not stated rather than printing a number we did not read. Where a count is our own, the page says so.
